The separately managed accounts strategy returned 63% net in 2019 and 121% in 2020, although performance deteriorated in 2021. Last year, the strategy lost 11% against a 29% return for the S&P 500.

Still, even after this double-digit loss, the Saga Partners Portfolio has returned nearly 30% annualized since its inception compared to a return of almost 19% per annum for the S&P 500.
