Engine Capital was up 6.22% net for the fourth quarter, bringing its full-year net return to 32.6% and its return since inception in July 2013 to 251.06%. The Russell 2000 returned 2.14% for the fourth quarter, 14.84% for 2021, and 157.12% since July 2013. The HFRI Activist Index returned 5.6% for the fourth quarter, 18.8% for 2021, and 86% since July 2013.
