According to the firm's March investor tear sheet, which ValueWalk has been able to review, Ozer and his team now manage $1.36 billion. Statar's founder began his career at D. E. Shaw & Co. in 2008 in the equities/futures systematic trading business. Then, he moved onto the firm's Energy Group, and in 2015, Ozer was hired by Citadel as the head portfolio manager for US natural gas.

Statar is a commodity-orientated macro firm with an emphasis on natural gas trading. It has achieved an impressive performance over the past four years.
