Electron Capital Up 27% YTD Says Renewable Energy Is Here To Stay

Electron Capital's flagship Electron Global fund reported a strong third quarter. According to a copy of the firm's third-quarter investor update, a copy of which ValueWalk has been able to review, the estimated net return for the Electron Global Fund LP at the end of September quarter-to-date was +27.4%.

Following this performance, the fund was up 4.3% for the year to the end of September. That's compared to a loss of -6.1% of its benchmark, the MSCI World Utilities Index. Since inception (2004), the Global fund has produced an annualized return for investors of 9.3% compared to 2.3% for the benchmark.
