Moon Capital, the Huston-based global value fund returned -4.1% net for the second quarter of 2019 as global equity market volatility impacted returns. For the year to the end of the second quarter, the fund returned 3.8% net.

According to the hedge fund's second-quarter letter to investors, the negative return during the quarter was primarily due to "reversals in some of the positions that contributed to our positive returns over the past two quarters."
