Viking Global Wins On Illiquid Positions In Q2: Looks To Hire Analysts

Viking Global Opportunities fund was up 8% for the second quarter. The fund's liquid portfolio returned 2.3% net, underperforming the MSCI World Index's 3.6% gain and the S&P 500's 4.2% gain. The long side of the portfolio gained 5.9% during the quarter, while the short side of the portfolio was up 4.8%.
