LocustWood Capital, the famed equity long-short hedge fund managed by Stephen J. Errico had a "strong" third quarter according to the firm's quarterly letter to investors, a copy of which has been reviewed by ValueWalk.

According to the letter, in the third quarter the firm's main fund added 4.8% net, taking the year to the end of September returns to 3% after fees.
