The hedge fund named after a Swiss watch designed to counter the effects of gravity has, itself, found gravity. Tourbillon Capital Partners told investors in a letter that the hedge fund was shutting down, citing poor returns in a challenging market environment.

The Tourbillon Global Master Fund (TGMF) was hit by poor performing investments again in August. During a period of strong stock market returns, the equity-focused fund was reported down 2.6% on the month, off 3.2% year-to-date through September.
