There is a growing debate on Wall Street on the topic of inflation and whether or not it will remain low despite the fact that unemployment is declining rapidly and companies are facing growing hiring difficulties.

It’s not only wages that could contribute to an inflationary environment. Over the past decade, ultra-low-interest rates have helped companies keep prices and costs low to consumers. Meanwhile, the rise of China and globalization has helped push down the cost of many goods, while the rise of online retailers such as Amazon has helped cut prices even further.
