The institutional equity team at Morgan Stanley have put out a note highlighting the stocks they would be buying, and staying away from, in the current market (which was much much lower when this note came out)!!

Falling markets around the world are presenting investors with opportunities that haven't been available for many months, so it makes sense to capitalize on the move down and snap up some bargains.

Morgan Stanley: European picks

Starting in Europe, the pan-European FTSeurofirst300 closed down 5.4% today, giving Morgan its first “Full-House Buy Signal” since January 2009. All of Morgan's market timing indicators, composite valuation, capitulation, risk, and fundamentals are now in buy territory. Morgan's analysts' top buys are as follows:
