Investing in frontier markets is a risky business. In the most unstable countries, you risk losing more than your money if you are caught in the region during a period of political or economic turmoil. However, the risk of investing in these areas can be justified by the lucrative returns on offer although, it takes a strong stomach and long term outlook to be able to harvest any gains.
