Many areas of the US housing market have changed dramatically since the housing crisis but the starkest changes are in the financing market. Home mortgage financing and trading has completely changed since 2008. Most notable is the drastic decline in debt in the private-label securitization market while the agency mortgage-backed securities market has continued to grow.
