Viking Global Pairs Losses Gains 5.7 Percent In Q3

Andreas Halvorsen's Viking Global Equities and Viking Long Fund gained 5.7% and 8.3% respectively net of all fees for the third quarter compared to a return of 4.8% for the MSCI World Index and 3.9% for the S&P 500 index.

According to Viking’s third-quarter letter, a copy of which has been reviewed by ValueWalk, both funds profited from both long and short positions during the quarter as bets on the Consumer Discretionary, Energy, Health Care and Information Technology sectors paid off.
