A potential “slip-up” in an Apple document, citing MacOS on environmental policies has the devoted world of Macintosh users abuzz over the potential to switch the name of the operating system, reverting to its historic roots.

Reports of the slip first were revealed by 9to5Mac, which spotted a reference to “MacOS” in a relatively obscure Apple document related to environmental policies. The document has since been changed to the current nomenclature of OS X to describe the operating system.
