With automotive marketers touting their networked cars as a consumer benefit and autonomous vehicles all the rage, the thorny issues of computer hackers exhibiting the ability to essentially hack even the most secure systems seems to get pushed to the sidelines. With cars the victims of recent hacking attacks, the FBI is now teaming up with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration to formally warn on the risk of vehicular cybersabotage.
