Receiving a standing ovation at Fairleigh Dickinson’s Silberman College of Business in Madison, N.J. Thursday night, former New Jersey Gov. and U.S. Sen. Jon Corzine made his first public appearance since 2011. At his last public appearance, he repeatedly told the U.S. Congress he did not know where illegally transferred MF Global customer assets went. On this night, however, the former MF Global and Goldman Sachs chief executive was generally treated to softball questions from the student audience who likely have little, if any, knowledge of the incident the Commodity Futures Trading Commission termed “unprecedented.”
